Digitization of Journals on Religious Pedagogy
As extension of the Open Access digital archive of historical textes on education, Scripta Paedagogica, the BBF made available digitized German journals on religious pedagogy.
Project Description
Since 1999 the BBF offers an Open Access digital archive of German historical textes on education, Scripta Paedagogica. At the beginning, the archive comprised mainly general historical journals on education published since the middle of the 18th century as well as historical pedagogical reference works and monographies. From the outset, the BBF planned to constantly expand the archive, e.g. by including digitized journals from pedagogical sub-disciplines.
A first big step in this direction was the digitization of 32 historical journals on religious pedagogy from the years 1836 to 1925 with support from the DFG (Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft). The vast majority of the digitized volumes came from the collection of the BBF. Gaps in the stock were closed by inter-library borrowing. The actual digitization process was outsourced.
The collection of digitized journals on religious pedagogy may be accessed directly via Scripta Paedagogica. You can search for journals and journal articles or browse through the journals. All texts are provided as images and as PDF-files.
