The BBF offers guided tours and seminars to present itself and its holdings and to introduce users to working with archival and library materials.


We offer universities an opportunity to run seminars in the BBF rooms to introduce students to working with archival and library materials with a thematic focus on educational science, the history of schools and other relevant historical topics.

We plan and run these seminars in collaboration with the university tutors and lecturers.

During these seminars, the participants are introduced to working with archival sources and library materials.

Guided Tours

The library offers public guided tours on a regular basis. On the occasion, you will be given an overview of the library holdings, its shelving and use,  and an introduction to using the library catalogs and digital services. We also make sure there is enough time to answer your questions.

Subject to your request, we can organize additional guided tours for individuals or groups, and guided tours in English. Please contact us if you have such a request.
